Christmas at Dennis and Sarah's

Who need presents! Cousins are so much more fun!
Johnathan and Papaw Jady This is baby Seths FIRST CHRISTMAS!!! He is so adorable!
This is the first time Josy has taken an interest in Baby Seth. He is old enough to get down in the floor and play and she thinks that is GREAT!
Johnathan enjoying his baby cousin!
Darrell getting his feet! So sweet!
The kids handing out the gifts!
Mamaw and Papaw opening their gifts!
Mamaw got Braden a wagon and he was so EXCITED! I LOVE THIS PICTURE of Miranda and Braden trying it out! What fun they will have pulling each other around! Look out Baby Seth!
Braden being a gentleman and letting Josy try it out!
More presents! YAHOO!!!
Papaw tickling Josy! He always teases her and tells her he is "pulling her leg!"
Braden decided he was still hungry. Reminds me of when his daddy was a boy! He would sneak a bite of mashed potatoes when no one was watching! Memories! Darrell and I started dating when Dennis was about 11. So....... I remember him as a boy. Braden reminds me soooooo much of his daddy. He walks like him and has so many of his mannerisms.
Josy decided she wanted a little bit more peanut butter pie. Normally I would not let her put her fingers in the pie for a little taste. But, it's Christmas and everyone was done eating. And.....I couldn't resist!
Jady sitting on the couch with his mom! They were enjoying each others conversation and watching the kids! Notice Papaw's glasses....he wears them like this all the time. The girls playing around.
Johnathan enjoying the conversation of his GREAT-Papaw's!
I think this picture is great! How many teenagers do you know that gets to spend Christmas with their GREAT grandparents? This Christmas has been so nice. I have not been so rushed. I have spent a lot of time thinking! Thinking about the things that really matter in life. I think about all the Christmas past.....and I can not let this Christmas go by without mentioning "our" Mamaw Bernice that is spending Christmas with Jesus. She touched my life and all that she knew. Even though she was not physically here with us she lives on in her family.

Christmas Morning at Home!!!!

Josy is so excited about opening more gifts! As you can see Johnathan is still not awake!! He believes he could have slept a couple more hours! Darrell getting his cup of coffee! Sophie using the tripod for a scratching post! Silly kitty!
Notice the Power Ranger Jammies! Oh, did I forget to mention she doesn't even know who the power rangers are!
Mr. Cool!! Waiting patiently to open his gifts! I kept thinking what a nice boy we've raised! So Considerate of others! So Patient! So Mature!
Wait the plot thickens in a minute! A little history..... we bought Johnathan a mustang a couple of weeks ago. So....we told him that he would not be getting anything else for Christmas! Well, you know me.....he had to have something to open. Anyway, he BELIEVED he didn't have anything to open until I told him he did indeed have a few gifts. I wanted him to have something to look forward too. Turns out he found the gifts and OPENED and rewrapped them. We knew because when he opened this gift he said "bet I can guess what is in this" We were like "there is no way." Well he guessed and then confessed he had already peaked!!! NO WONDER HE WAS SOOO PATIENT!!
Trying to act surprised! Yea right!
Sophie wondering when she will be getting her present!
Darrell is ALWAYS so cold so we got him a robe!
Daddy putting together "the loot!"
We were enjoying looking back at the video. Darrell had thought he had turned off the recorder. Turns out he was singing his heart out!
My handsome son!
What attitude!!!
Cheers to you and yours!

Christmas Eve at My Mom's!!

HOME AGAIN FOR CHRISTMAS!!!
This is a very special Christmas for my family! My mom has been refinishing a house on the farm that belonged to my papaw! He was brought here when he was 12. He died in 2005 and my mom has been having the old home place remodeled.
I was rushing around getting things ready to go and as I walked past my front door I noticed something I hadn't seen in YEARS!!! Notice in the picture above....CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! The farm house is in the front field in front of my house so, I went outside and took a picture. I know CORNY, right? But for me it was so nice to see LIFE back in that house. We originally built our home on the farm to be close to my papaw. We moved in May and he died the following October. But, when he was alive I would ALWAYS look out and see his lights. Most of the time it was in the barn, but still I knew he was there. I MISS HIM SOOOOO BAD!!!
Josy going back in our house! Josy and Papaw Eddie taking a peak at the presents! Josy listening to one of Papaws stories!
Me and MINE!
When I was a small girl we would always spend Christmas Eve with Robby. He has always been very special to me and my family. We have ALWAYS referred to him as my Godfather. He would go to my grandparents with us and then come back to our house to open gifts! I am sooo glad that we can still have these very special traditions. Christmas would not be Christmas without
"My Robby!"
I love this picture of Robby and his wife, Jody!
Johnathan and Brad doing what they do best....EATING!
My momma wanted this picture. She has been going through old pictures and found one when she was probably three years old standing in this spot for Christmas! Now years later she is not standing here alone. She is standing here with her family. What a privilege to be my momma's daughter! I love you mom!!!!
So Excited to open gifts! She loved her scooter! Notice the red shorts! They are actually pajama bottoms. My dad had gotten her Power Ranger PJ's. You know the ones that have the shorts and the pants too. Well, she wears the pants to bed. She says that they are her night jammies. First thing in the morning she gets up and puts on the shorts. They are her day Jammies! She insists on wearing them everywhere. She had them on UNDER her pants! At least she has on clothes, right?
Me and the Sister that I never had, biologically. This is my BESTEST friend since I was 19 years old. I know since I am only 22 that isn't that long, right? Come on...it isn't THAT funny!!!!!
Opening more gifts!
Christmas is such a special time! I am thankful for the family that God has blessed me with in this life! I have a very different view of family. Family to me is not ONLY those that have the same blood going through their veins, it is ALL the people in my life that make my heart complete. Thank you GOD for blessing me with my AMAZING FAMILY!!!!!!

Christmas at My Daddy's!

Looking at the tape that my dad wanted. It is his favorite. It is the prophets singing "Look for Me." It is impossible to find because the group is no longer together. I just happened to get my hands on one! He was so happy and I was blessed that he liked it!
Josy had ask my dad for a remote control car. We had went to the applebarn for breakfast a few weeks back and he bought her one while shopping in Pigeon Forge. So you can imagine how surprised she was to get this one! Notice it is a MUSTANG!! Eat your heart out Bubba!!!
Josy helping papaw open the rest of his gifts!
AND....helping Uncle Brad!
My dad with his "babies"
Josy and Madonna playing checkers. Of course, Josy is winning!
Can you believe MY BABY is TALLER than MY DAD??
The whole family!
We had a very nice Christmas! It is nice to get together with family. Every year I think a lot about when I was a young girl. We always went to both of my grandparents house. It was always so hectic, but I did not care. I LOVED being with family. This year ALL of my grandparents are gone. I think back and I am soooo thankful to have those memories! I am so blessed!
