DECORATING the Tree!!!

Daddy is finishing up the fluffing and Josy is supervising from underneath. She likes to lay under the tree and look at the lights! I remember doing that as a kid! Well, OK.....I still like to do it! Have you tried squinting your eyes when you look at the tree?? Try it! It is beautiful, you can see only the lights! It is a great way to make sure the lights on your tree are distributed evenly all over the tree!!!! Listen to me I sound like Martha Stewart! Anyone who knows me knows better! LOL!Sophie Lou on the balcony supervising! Notice Josy has SHED her clothes since the first picture! We are REALLY working on getting her to wear clothes since she is getting older! You can see it is NOT working well. Oh.... we do wear clothes in public. SOMETIMES!! LOL! A little farther to the right bubba!
Wonder if I could jump from here??
I know that I did not want to put up this monster of a tree but....I am so glad we did. It is soooo pretty. But what I LOVE even more than the tree is the memories we created while decorating. It takes a lot of crates to store this during the year. We always dread bring them up from the basement . As you could guess they make a HUGE mess. But.....it kinda reminds me of life. I know personally I make a mess of it all the time. But... MY Heavenly Father continues to direct me through MY mess toward His will. He knows what the finished product will look like (IN HEAVEN) and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Isn't that what Christmas is about anyway? God loving us sooooo much that He sent His Son to die so that we may have everlasting life. How much more could we, as Christians, possibly ever want? All I want is to serve MY GOD more everday and become more Godly as the days go by. That is my WANT and PRAYER for my life and my family this year. What do you want for Christmas?

Hanging of the Greens at The McCroskey's!

This year I have been a bit of a party pooper! I have been having some health issues and to be honest I have not felt very good. I have been stalling about getting the house decorated! So we decided we would put up the tree... but I did not want to put up this specific tree. It is 12 feet tall and a BIG pain to deal with. I wanted to put a REGULAR size tree. BUT....Darrell insisted that he loves this tree. So...here we go with the HUGE Tree!!
Team work! Believe me it takes it to get this thing up!
Of course Johnathan is doing his part! I do believe he is TEXTING!!! Teenagers...they can not go 2 seconds without texting!
Josy has decided that she will get a chair. Johnathan....well....he's texting again!!!
Too Funny! Daddy is FLUFFING the tree and using a light! He must think he is a coal miner! LOL! You can never guess what he will come up with next. Life is NEVER boring!

What Next????

Darrell "FLUFFED" the tree and we cleaned up a bit. We decided we would wait and decorate tomorrow afternoon. So I went on to bed and Darrell came and said "come in here." Well I am lazy and I said "I really do not want to get up, what do you want?" He said "just come on." So I reluctantly got up and it was so worth it!!! The kitten had climbed to the TOP of the tree. It does not look like it is the top but I used my zoom lens. I guess it is a good thing that we decided to decorate tomorrow, huh?
TOO late to hide Love Muffin we already see you!

Johnathan 4-Wheelin'

These are some action shots of Johnathan riding around in the field. Notice how the 4 wheeler does not have fenders;) or whatever they are called!!! He is so much like his dad. He has to take EVERYTHING apart to see how it works! Just who he is.....my mechanically minded son!
I MUST admit I do not LIKE the way he wears his pants inside his boots! Even when he is just hanging out at the house. I suppose it is just my DIVA side. If I had my choice he would have on his NICE blue jeans and a NICE polo. WITH TENNIS SHOES!!! But that would not be Johnathan aka "FORD BOY!" That is his nick name at school! He is such a GOOD boy! Growing into a reliable young man, but always MY LITTLE man!!!!
HAVE I MENTIONED LATELY THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!!

Thanksgiving.....

This year was a little different. I was suppose to host breakfast for my dad and Darrell's side of the family for Thanksgiving....well.....I was unable due to sickness. So we ate breakfast at Papaw Bob's and then we came home and I went to bed. Then we went out to eat dinner with my mom and stepdad. My best friend was also able to come and eat with us. We had a good time. Even though I was sick I have SOOOOO much to be thankful for in my life. Sorry I did not take any pictures this year. Can you believe it?

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

My aunt just found out that she has lung cancer. She had a complete physical in September and was given a clean bill of health. She has been struggling with what the doctors said was ragweed allergies. Then last weekend she was put in the hospital due to a bad backache. The tests came back that she had lung cancer. So either it is very aggressive or she was misdiagnosed in September, either way she need your prayers.

Josy's Christmas tree!!!

Remember the potholder Josy made? Well.... this is the tree with all of the potholders that the students made. It turned out so cute. The theme for the tree was "Cooking up Christmas!" All the different classrooms had their trees displayed in the gymnasium for auction. Then the children practiced what they would be performing for the Christmas program on December 2nd. They are sooooo ready! They did a SPECTACULAR job!
See all the cute potholders?
Josy was asking Braden if he liked all the Christmas lights. Seth stayed at the table with Papa. It will not be long until he is in the midst of everything going on! Look how cute he is! He does look a little startled to have Josy right in his face!!!
Josy was sooooo involved in the singing! At times I could hear her sing louder than the others. The little boy beside her is her special friend Cade! He likes to pretend he is a dog and of course she likes to be the owner. From what I hear they have a fun time!

Johnathan gets ANOTHER mustang!

Johnathan found another Mustang and he bought it for parts for his 1984. You know the one that is in the shop getting a new paint job. He is going to use the hood, front end and the dash. I will post pictures of the finished product. SO....STAY TUNED!

Fall Pictures on the FARM!!!

A reflective shot!
Can you believe this was a WILD kitten? It's mommy got killed by a coyote so we took it and its 4 siblings in! They are so much fun! She insisted on putting a piece of straw in her mouth for a toothpick. Another thing her papaw Eddie has taught her. She wanted to take her picture like this just for him!!! It did turn out super cute!
She is so cute when she gets tickled!
Love MUFFIN and my Sweetie!
Silly GIRL!!!! These are a FEW of the pictures I took when the leaves were turning! They were breathtaking this year. SO...I took Josy out in the field beside our house and took some pictures for her daddy! The pictures DO NOT do justice to the colors this year! A wonderful reminder of how God blesses us with the beauty of His creation.

Disney on Ice with COUSINS!!!

We went to Disney on Ice. The kids were so excited. Darrell did not make it back in from New York in time to go. Seth is still a little to small to go so he stayed home with mamaw and papaw! So it was Uncle Dennis, Aunt Sarah, Me and the kiddos! We had a great time! I do have to admit it was not the greatest show I have ever seen. I was disappointed a bit. THE BEST for me was being able to see the kids enjoy it! AND....the CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES Aunt Sarah brought to snack on!!!! She has a backpack full of goodies and that kept us ALL HAPPY!!!!
Look at the excitement on Josy's face! SO SWEET!! Little man ate it UP! This was his first time going to Disney on Ice! Miranda showing me her NEW TOOTHLESS SMILE! She is so proud to have lost her teeth. Although it made me and her mommy a little sad. She is growing up TOOO FAST!!! Josy spent the night on her Uncle Dennis's lap. Look how she has her little arm wrapped around his neck. Soo SWEET! Thank you Uncle Dennis for making Josy feel special since her daddy couldn't be there!
