It is your choice.....
We have been trying a new way of "handling" Josy. For instance, we will tell her to take her toy to her room and if she chooses not to do so~~~then she is choosing to sit in time out. This has worked beautifully so far. Anyway this was our first weekend trying this and she did VERY WELL!!! UNTIL she used it against her daddy! He was putting her to bed and she told him.... " Daddy here are your choices"... and she proceeds to say "either you let me go downstairs and sit with mommy or go lay in her bed with her OR I will not play ball or soccer with you anymore." I knew in my heart this would happen sooner or later. I just had hoped it would be later! :) We will continue with this method and see....

A trip to the ZOO with friends!
We went to the zoo with some friends from Church! It was the perfect day! It was overcast and soooo nice outside. It did sprinkle rain a little but it sure didn't dampen out spirits!

Barack Obama
"Rockabauma" came out of the mouth of Josy yesterday evening. She kept saying it and how she thought he was "COOL." Well this is NOT a Political blog~~~ but......where did she get that?? We are a McCain family. We started questioning her and she had heard that he was SUPER COOL from one of her classmates. We talked to her and told her that we really liked John McCain. She said "Well I don't because he looks old and poor and fluffy?????" We then proceeded to explain to her that we liked John McCain because we felt that he tried to do things that please God. I AM NOT TRYING TO CHANGE YOUR VOTE, unless I can!!! HAHAHAHA!!!! Just Kidding! Well rest assured our family is united as she has decided that she likes McCain. Anyway, it made me think.....what else does she know? I was surprised that Kindergarteners would be discussing politics so......I ask her who the President is now. Well she did not know! By the way, I did not expect her too :) But this showed me once again that our children watch and LISTEN to us more than we think...... What a HUMBLING thought........

JOSY GIRL has a SLEEPOVER!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSY!
Josy went from wanting a Cowboy party to an Indian party. Then she decided that she wanted to have a princess party and then a Karate party. SO~~~~~she decided to go with a Kitty party!!!! GUESS where I got the cake????? I MADE IT!!! YES, I MADE IT!!!!!! Thank you Sarah for the encouragement! I can not believe how much fun it was! Josy really enjoyed helping me! She said "Oh mommy, it is the PURRRRFECT Cake!!"
Her favorite cake is red velvet so this is a red velvet cake. While I was pouring it into the cake pans she made the observation that it was the same color as when God turned the water into blood. I was so blessed to hear that even at a young age she is being sensitive to the spirit at work.
TIME FOR THE PRESENTS!
What I love is that Josy really did not care about the gifts!
She just liked having her friends over to play!
MAKE A WISH!!!!
Happy Birthday Josy Girl
Look at the special surprise Josy received at school today from Mamaw
and Papaw! She was soooo excited!
For Josy's 1st birthday I had a "Happy Birthday Josy" banner made. Each year we have her put her hand and feet prints on it. It is so neat to see how much she has grown!

Grandparents Day at School
Mamaw and Papaw made it back from the beach in time to be at the school for the Grandparents Celebration. They picked up Josy and Miranda and took them to school. The grandparents were treated to a special breakfast and then they got to see the kids sing.
Josy attentively watching for direction from her music teacher.
Miranda! This is the bulletin board in the kindergarten hall! So cute!
After the kids were finished singing the grandparents got to visit their classroom!
